Geography and History
The town is located at the edge of the Nama Karoo, an area of semi-desert succulent vegetation.
If you wish to explore the Olifants River Valley, Vanrhynsdorp is the ideal village to use as a base. It is within an hours drive from the ten surrounding towns.
